The Pregnancy Resource Center is currently seeking applicants for the following positions:

Administrative Assistant

Part-time, 20-25 hours per week

The PRC is seeking an Administrative Assistant who will work in both our Blacksburg and Radford clinics to provide services to our clients. The Administrative Assistant manages initial client care, including greeting clients, facilitating initial paperwork, answering phones and scheduling appointments. This position supports other staff via data entry, clerical duties, and general office management. The Administrative Assistant reports directly and works closely with the Director of Client Services and other administrative staff to carry out the mission and vision of the PRC Board of Directors.

Qualifications:

  • A committed Christian who demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, including active membership and participation in a local church.
  • Exhibit strong commitment and dedication to the sanctity of human life.
  • Agree with and be willing to uphold the Statement of Faith, Statement of Principle, the Mission Statement, Core Values of the organization and policies of the center.
  • Skilled in data entry, Microsoft Office, office communications, general office procedures and equipment, client relations, answering phones, hospitality and staff support.  
  • Self-motivated, dependable and responsible.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college preferred.
  • Experience in a related field preferred

Director of Communications & Marketing

Part-time, 20-25 hours a week

 Qualifications:

  • A committed Christian who demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, including active church membership and participation in a local church.
  • Exhibit strong commitment and dedication to the sanctity of human life.
  • Agree with and be willing to uphold the Statement of Principle, Statement of Faith, the Mission Statement, Core Values and policies of the center.
  • Skilled in one or more of the following areas: communications, graphic design, website management and/or marketing.
  • Has a proven work ethic and ability to complete many tasks in a face paced environment, in addition to proven success negotiating projects with multiple staff or community resources.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, responsible.
  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited college preferred.
  • 2 years experience in a related field preferred.

The Director of Communications and Marketing works closely with the CEO to manage all communication and marketing resources needed to promote the mission of the PRC.  Promotions include, but are not limited to materials for donor events, client outreach events, fundraisers, regular written publications, PRC website and VWC website.  The Director of Communications and Marketing directs the VWC’s client outreach in the community. He/she will manage the design, creation and distribution of promotional materials for online and a physical presence in the community in order to draw in more clients to achieve the overall mission of the organization. The Director of Communications and Marketing reports directly to and works closely with the Chief Executive Officer to carry out the mission and vision of the PRC Board of Directors.

Director of Events

Part-time, 25-30 hours a week

The PRC is seeking a Director of Events (formerly known as Director of Development). The Director of Events is primarily responsible for planning and executing the PRC’s fundraising and supporter events (including, but not limited to, the Baby Bottle Campaign, Annual Fundraising Banquet, Walk for Life, and Pastor and Advocate Prayer meetings).  The Director of Events plans, implements, and coordinates community activities and fundraising efforts that will cultivate engagement with supporters.  Through well executed events, the Director of Events will encourage, maintain, and increase the awareness and effectiveness of the mission of the PRC. The Director of Events will intentionally plan details of each event to increase and maintain supporter relations as well as the philanthropic support to meet the short and long term needs of the PRC.  These events will be consistent with the mission and goals of the organization and will reach individuals, churches, college campus groups, youth groups, businesses and organizations in the community.  The Director of Events reports directly to and works closely with the Chief Executive Officer to carry out the mission and vision of the PRC Board of Directors.

  • Proven experience in leadership, development and strategic planning.
  • Computer proficiency with Word, Excel, Power Point, data management/event software and Google Suite.
  • Skilled in public speaking, event management, and interpersonal relationships as expressed in all communications (email, phone and in person).
  • Self-motivated, dependable, responsible and works well with a team.
  • Experience recruiting, managing, and executing events through a team of volunteers.
  • 2 years experience in related field preferred. 
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college preferred in applicable field.
