The Pregnancy Resource Center is currently seeking applicants for the following positions:

AdmINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Part-time, 20-25 hours per week

Due to transition to a new position, our Administration Assistant Position is now open!

Qualifications:

  • A committed Christian who demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, including active membership and participation in a local church.
  • Exhibit strong commitment and dedication to the sanctity of human life.
  • Agree with and be willing to uphold the Statement of Faith, Statement of Principle, the Mission Statement, Core Values of the organization and policies of the center.
  • Skilled in data entry, Microsoft Office, office communications, general office procedures and equipment, client relations, answering phones, hospitality and staff support.  
  • Self-motivated, dependable and responsible.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college preferred.
  • Experience in a related field preferred

The Administrative Assistant works primarily in both our Blacksburg and Radford offices to help provide services to our clients. The Administrative Assistant manages initial client care, including greeting clients, facilitating initial paperwork, answering phones and scheduling appointments. This position supports other staff via data entry, clerical duties, and general office management. The Administrative Assistant reports directly to and works closely with the Director of Client Services and other administrative staff to carry out the mission and vision of the PRC Board of Directors.

Client Advocates

2 positions, each 8-24 hours, flexible

The PRC is seeking a Client Advocate that will serve the PRC as a trained counselor through programs including, but not limited to, pregnancy options counseling, pregnancy & parenting classes, and our material resource program for clients. This candidate will work with the Director of Client Services towards administrating overall client care, in addition to managing resources and assisting in training volunteers.

Qualifications:

  1. A committed Christian who demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, including active membership and participation in a local church.
  2. Exhibit strong commitment and dedication to the sanctity of human life.
  3. Agree with and be willing to uphold the Statement of Faith, Statement of Principle, the Mission Statement, Core Values of the organization and policies of the center.
  4. Skilled in interpersonal relations, communication, compassionate care-giving, and discerning peer counseling.
  5. Demonstrated administrative, organizational and writing skills.
  6. Current and relevant computer skills (Microsoft Office, client management tools, etc).   
  7. Self-motivated, dependable, independent and responsible. 
  8. Ability to handle confidential information with sensitivity and discretion.
  9. Two years experience in a service field desired.
  10. Bachelors Degree in human/social services preferred.

Director of Development

Part-time, 20-25 hours a week

Qualifications:

  • A committed Christian who demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, including active membership and participation in a local church.
  • A strong commitment and dedication to upholding the sanctity of all human life. 
  • Agreement with and be willing to uphold the Statement of Faith and Principle, the Mission Statement, Core Values of the organization and the center’s policies (provided with application).
  • Proven experience in leadership, development and strategic planning.
  • Computer proficiency with Word, Excel, Power Point, data management/event software and Google Suite.
  • Skilled in public speaking, event management, and interpersonal relationships as expressed in all communications (email, phone and in person).
  • Self-motivated, dependable, responsible and works well with a team.
  • Experience recruiting, managing, and executing events through a team of volunteers.
  • 2 years experience in related field preferred. 
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college preferred in applicable field.

The Director of Development is primarily responsible for the organization’s fundraising and supporter events. The Director of Development will encourage, maintain, and increase the awareness and effectiveness of the mission of the PRC through these events.  This individual will cultivate supporter relations through events to meet the short and long-term needs of the ministry. These activities shall be consistent with the mission and goals of the organization and shall reach individuals, churches, colleges, businesses and organizations in the community. The Director of Development reports directly to and works closely with the CEO to carry out the mission and vision of the PRC Board of Directors.
